Meet Our Team
DR SUSAN PUGH
MB, ChB, MPM, MRCGP, FRACGP & DRCOG
I did my medical training in England including specialist General Practice training and became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1988. I came to Australia in 1990 and spent a year doing rural emergency medicine before returning to general practice and have now been a GP in Paddington for almost 30 years.
I completed a Master’s degree in Psychological Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 1994 and have maintained an interest in the psychological aspects of health throughout my career.
My many years’ experience in general practice allows me to manage all aspects of health care, both acute and chronic, from the very young to the very old. I also do minor surgical procedures, including skin biopsies, skin cancer management and the insertion of Implanon contraceptive devices.
I am no longer doing antenatal shared care with the Royal Hospital for Women or Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
I will be reducing the number of sessions I work in the practice over the next few years as I head towards retirement in 2022 to spend more time with family and friends.
