All doctors bill privately for consultations. Fees are set using the Medicare Benefits Schedule.
Doctors’ fees will depend on the length and nature of your appointment.
Below is a general guide which your doctor may charge for an attendance consultation.
Standard consults are charged around $100. (Medicare rebate of $42.85)
Longer consults are charged around $170. (Medicare rebate of $82.90)

Telephone consultations are generally charged at the same rate as in person consults.

Procedure fees are dependent on the type and complexity of the procedure.

Missed appointment fees may be charged by your doctor if you cancel within 2 hours or if you miss your appointment.
Appointments
All doctors consulting from Paddington Family Practice rooms operate by appointment only.
To be eligible for a Telephone or Telehealth appointment you will need to have been seen in-person in the previous 12 months.
Please book a long appointment if you may need longer than 15mins. Your doctor may run late due to urgent clinical matters, the reception team will endeavour to keep you informed.
